It’s all Einstein’s Fault

The first time at Geneva’s CERN
Factual    3 x 40'    ITALIA 1

This is a TV program about the past and future accomplishments of the CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid). The project concentrates on interdependent elements: the CMS team and it’s members, their personalities and relationships.

The great challenge at the CMS is the backbone to the entire narration. By following the operation of the CMS we’ll learn about the interpersonal relationship of those involved. In fact a great deal of attention will be placed on the physicists. What exactly do they do? What do they do when not at work? What inspires them? What keeps them up at night?

Each episode will have a dual narrative development. Part of it will be a chronological telling of the team that’s responsible for operating the LHC. The other part will concentrate on the lives of those involved, as told from the perspective of those involved. A way to explain the universe and its mysteries from a scientific yet conventional point of view. A way to introduce and explain CMS’s research by looking into the everyday lives of those involved.
